Do you remember the first time you heard opera live, when the performer sung tears into your eye, or sent chills down your back? Experiencing live opera is an important part of the art because as an audience member you participate in its creation.

We at Pacific Northwest Opera, believe sharing the unique experience of live opera is important to the community in Northwest Washington to enrich and enliven it.

Did you know ticket revenue covers less than 40 percent of the costs of producing opera? Pacific Northwest Opera's ticket sales cover closer to 60%, but like most other non-profit performing arts organizations, we rely heavily on additional support to bring you outstanding live performances and educational and outreach programming. That support comes in the from people sharing their talents, time, or financial gifts. All board, chorus, and guild members are not paid and each gladly shares what they can to keep the enlivening experience of opera available.

Besides our great volunteers, it is annual donations from individuals like you make up the largest portion of our contributed income. These donations, even in the smallest amounts, allow us to continue. Please consider making a donation to help us bring the unique experience of live opera to the community.

You can make a gift to the to Annual Fund at any level, any time.
